OK, JSecurity is exactly what I have been looking for.
However, I have have kind of a unique requirement for
authentication. I am trying to build my own
AuthenticationToken and associated classes however I
don't even know where to begin. I keep on digging
through the mail list and website but I yet to find a
page that explains what interfaces I should be
implementing and what classes I should be building.
Am I missing something? It seems I have to build a:
AuthenticationToken
Account
Principal
Can someone illuminate the path a bit?
Thank you.

Prior to JSecurity, I have an existing EJB3 session that provides simple authentication, returning a User object:
public interface ISecurityFinderSvcRemote {
User authenticateUser(String loginId, String password) throws MyAuthenticationException;
// ... and more methods here ...
}
It's currently accessed from a Tapestry login page like this:
User user = getSecurityFinderService().authenticateUser(_loginId, _password);
with the usual try/catch stuff around it.
Welcome to JSecurity's quickstart! This serves as our "10 minute test".
If you don't fully understand how to use a JSecurity-enabled application in under 10 minutes, we've done something wrong. JSecurity is so easy to understand, it should take 5 minutes ;)
What is JSecurity?
From our slogan, JSecurity is a "powerful and flexible open-source Java security framework that cleanly handles authentication, authorization, enterprise session management, and cryptography services"
Hi,
how do I use this ?
I do not see any samples, no guidelines. What i have downloaded is merely a jar file with all the classes and no begin point. How do i incorporate this with my login page as well as user repository source?
I must be crazy not to find it on this site.
Please guide me.
Thanks
Ajay
Hi all!
I very recently discovered Grails and as a big fan of Ruby on Rails I thought I'd give it a go.
I've decided to use grails to develop a simple pilot log book application. I installed the JSecurity plugin with the "grails install-plugin" command but then I noticed that the "alpha" of version 1.0 is available so I checked the latest source code out of subversion (after deleting the plugin from my grails app).
Question 1: I used "ant jar" to build a jar which I then dropped into my grails application's <application root>/lib.
We can post new samples with CRUD operations based on 3 rules,12 users , 3 groups and 6 permissions objects, more demonstration of group of user, of roles, of permissions ?
The javadoc documentation dont have examples class ..
You can upload new examples of use of your framework?
A functional example like presentation?
Its a greatfull project and will be bigger. What news perpectives about OpenSSo of Sun
I used to use this framework and will be happy if i can colabore too.
Tanks
